Brand New has released redone versions of Untitled 2, Untitled 3, and Untitled 4 from Fight Off Your Demons , an unreleased album that was leaked and ultimately scrapped before The Devil And God Are Raging Inside Me was released. Ten years later, the songs are still rad as hell, especially Untitled 2, now called 1996.

Oh damn, these are even better than the originals.
On the other hand, I feel like this just further hints at the band breaking up. Just make it official already, dammit!

HOLY DAMN. 1996 is my favorite song they’ve ever made. Loved it since I heard the leaks in high school. This makes me REALLY pumped to see them thursday. This re-re-release is WAAAYYY better than the Wardenclyffe or whatever BS they released.

Just as an aside, they released the original leaked songs for download. Pay what you want for them, or pay eight bucks and also get a cassette.

I mean, we all know they’re breaking up, which is a bummer, but all good things come to an end. So far, every album has been super solid (yes, even Your Favorite Weapon), so hopefully the new album lives up to it.
Also, as I said to adamftw, they’ve made the original leaked songs available for download for whatever you want to pay. Pay eight bucks and you can also get a cassette with the songs on them.

Saw them in concert last weekend (thanks to my younger gf lol) and was pleasantly surprised! Enjoyed their performance more than Modest Mouse.

My favorite band of my youth. Alas they suffered obscurity due to record label mismanagement.
Imho - Devil and God Raging is their best album by far.
Regarding them breaking up, you couldn’t really expect them to stay together making music for their entire lives could you? The Beach Boys and the eagles era has come and gone and I respect that a band whose music shaped the very fabric of my being needs to move on whenever they are ready.

Didn’t expect them to stay together forever, as I said to another commenter. And I think The Devil And God Raging Inside Me might be one of my favourite albums of all time, so I’m with you there.

Yea, thats was the Wardenclyffe or whatever version I was talking about. I forgot what they called it. So now there are 3 versions of these songs.
